Z004: Dream Cafe & DUMC Dedication Dinner

It's been a while now... Yea, I was really exhausted with lots of things on hand this week and I hardly seems to be awake during class sometimes. Today, I finally took a nap when I reached home. It was so GOOD and I could barely open my heavy eyelids when I received a call... (Yea... You didn't woke me anyhow even though I sound as if I was awake, haha...) I even replied my sms-es with my finger still holding on the last button 'Send' and continue with my sleep, haha...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last Sunday, Easter Day, also Dumc's Dedication of Dream Centre Celebration Dinner. Started with the Sunrise celebration at 6.30am and Sunday Celebration at 10am... Dedication Celebration at 5pm and Dinner at 7.30pm. Yeap, Almost the whole day spent in church, haha!
Lunch with Spaghetti from the Joy Cafe in Dumc was so good... Hey, it's only rm4.50, okay? Must eat again sometimes, hmm..mmm....
The dinner was superb. Imported all the way from Setiawan, PERAK!!! Yes!! My state, yea!! Anyway, let me show you the main characters on the table...
This is menu of the day...

This is a mouth watering appetizer... big portion though.... I can't wait to know what's next after tasted this superb dish.

Shark fin soup. Quite good. Smooth and the taste is not too heavy, just nice. Though I'm kinda against eating anything to do with shark fin. (sorry, i'm against of so many things)

Pork with buns. The meat is tender and tasty. Yumm.... Don't judge it's look yea...

Mixual of a part of fish with some vege. The taste was kinda sour, sweet and a little spicy (but I don't think it's spicy at all). Really good. BEST recommended. I wanna eat this again for sure.

This one I don't have to explain much right? Yes, smart... that's steamed fish. Just the way I like it always. Meat is soft and the source is simple enough to go with the taste of the fish.

Prawns!! Yeap! It's superb. Yummy... =) I did not used my fingers (not even one) to take off the skin, haha... Geng le?? Used only with chopsticks le... wakaka... expert is here =)

Pai se la this one. Blur. Anyway, this is a mix vege dish. Looks simple but it's pretty good.

This is really special. I have never tasted anything like this before. A mixual of 8 kinds of fruits in the rice. Cool huh? Superb!!!

Too bad! When it was towards the end of the dinner, it was starting to drizzle. So, the dessert was kinda like gobble everything and run before we get wet situation. And ya... no picture on it. But it was a Longan thingy. Good. Anyway, it did not rain after all. Just drizzle. Haha... should have stay there and finish everything slowly. Praise the Lord!!! No rain!!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday, CF had a bible study session. Farewell for our advisor.
And these are the food we all had. We all had pisang goreng, keledek goreng, longan cake, chicken biscuits from Kampar, Wang2 biscuits, sweets... Those who couldn't join us, too bad. It was like a feast, haha... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Went to Entangled Musical Production by UM PKV yesterday. It was more than what I've expected. Praise Him!! I'm sure He was really pleased with the efforts they put in to glorify Him! You all did an amazing job!! *Salute*
Ya... My long awaited food in list. Ribenna Special from Murni. Next target: Carrot Milk Special. =)

Mixture feeling & Z003: Big Apple, Murni

Wednesday 19th March

CF Easter Celebration. It went well. Special thanks to those who came join and help out. It was really encouraged and really appreciate the very part all of you carried out. Games, Egg Painting, Testimony, Sharing, Prayer, Food... Praise Him for the smooth event and His present.

When I was online in msn that day, realised that MS's dad passed away that evening. I was shocked. For one moment, I lost my speech. All I truly hope and pray is that God bless the family with peace. It happened very fast and sudden. In fact, too sudden. How I wish I could just be with her that moment and give her hug.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thursday 20th March

Holiday. Finished my psycholingustics assignment early in the morning. Sent to Debbie. Feeling rather better.

Read KJ's message regarding the visit to MS's place an hour later after he sent. Couldn't join them to see her. Hope she's doing fine and coping it well. That very moment, I really wanna call my parents to tell them 'I love You Always'. I really miss them and wanna give them a big big hug. Just wanna tell all the people in this world that God loves you and He'll never ever forsake us no matter what happen.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Friday 21 March

Had a moral mid term that afternoon. I don't think I did well. Well, personally I think I shouldn't have wasted my time reading his notes. It did not help at all. The 20 minutes test with thick question papers filled with multiple choices questions. Each questions was so long and even the answers were so long. Thus, the difficulties in understanding certain words in BM and moreover in the whole sentence. I felt like I was reading some foreign language all of a sudden. *haihz* My BM is down in the drain already. Must brush up!

Went to cg that evening. The last cg meeting before multiplication. It was really good despite the pizza (fast food), hahaha... Anyway, the reflection on the crucifixion of Christ that reminds me how much He had shed His blood for my sins and how much He had to suffer to save me. His great love never fail. He knew and loves me even before I was borned. Thank you so much... For now, I really need His strength and His blessing so that I can share His good news boldly.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Saturday 22 March

Went to Mid Valley for a movie 'Ah Long Pte Ltd' with Sarah, Alvin and Hong. The movie was ok.

Went Big Apple and donuts was quite good. The taste was just nice, not too sweet and just fine. If only it's bigger and have more varieties, hehe... *grin*

Overall: 7.5/10

Went to Murni after the movie. I ordered 'Roti Hawaiian' and 'Honeydew Special'. This is really filling and delicious. Check out the design, haha... spider web. Hmm... This is pretty good, worth of trying and if you are really hungry, Murni just the right place for you. The 'roti' has all sort of stuff in it... hotdog, meat,... The taste is good. The drink is as good as always.

Overall: 7.5/10

Sarah ordered this 'Kiwi Special' and it looks pretty cool =)

1727 Steps of Faith

Probably you will wonder what's with the 1727...

I was just having this thought since a few weeks ago. Always walk to uni without realising how many steps did I actually take each day. Or should I say each trip? Hmm... yea...

Finally, last week Saturday, I started to count how many steps I need to take in order to reach my apartment. From the very first step out of uni... one... two.. three... on and on... cross the road... turn right... cross road again... up the slope...

*fuh* Yeah! I did it! It's 1727 steps altogether!! I hope my maths isn't that bad. Well, more or less this number la! Anyway, I expected a number that exceed 1000, but I just did not realised that I take almost 3500 steps each day only on the trip to and for uni. Wow! I'm impressed, haha...

Sometimes, I really enjoy walking to uni and back home. It gives me a chance to move around and I guess I just like walking... haha! Hmm... I should consider 'walking' in my hobby now.

Despite the soaky rainny day and superb warm sunny sunshine, it's really great to be able to walk in the world that He created. Enjoying the breeze, the fresh air after rain, the path that leads to a place called 2nd home =)

Why did I put '1727 Steps of Faith'? Simple... As you know, the area where I'm staying is pretty notorious with crimes like snatch thieves, pick pockets, murderers... I have even heard more than enough people around me got into these cases. Although the secrurity here is better now and really has improved a lot, still it has not stop completely. However, I'm not afraid! What should I be afraid when I have Him in my life? Nothing!!!!

Actually, when I was walking alone, which it has becomes a daily routine to me, I do talk to Him to protect my safety and make my journey a wonderful one instead of just walk for the sake of reaching my destination. Of course, I have encountered a numbers of interesting adventures sometimes. It's really great and cheers me up. Praise Him!! Yea!!! He always work in wonderous way and the timing is so accurate.

Walking is cool... try it if you haven't been walking for a long time =)

Z002: Ma Po Wan Tun Mee, Old Town Kopitiam, Subway, DD...

Just before I came back from Ipoh, I managed to have breakfast with my dad and sis. We went to a place called Ma Po in Tasek. This place has been really famous with their 'Wan Tun Mee'. They have: Cha Siew Wan Tun, Zhao Wan Tun Mee, Zhu Guat Chou Wan Tun... Basically, you name it, they have it. The mi is really tender and flexible, taste is just prefect, also the price is superb reasonable. Every time I have breakfast there, it's a guarantee satisfactory wonderful morning. What can I ask for more? I'm sure you can't find the same quality in any other place. By the way, they will close the store before noon. So, you can imagine how good the business is right? Ipoh food rocks!

Overall: 8.5/10

These are the pictures I took from the Jaya One Old Town Kopitiam. Have been visiting this place like almost every week. Yea... it's near and also convenient to do group discussion ma. Yes, they serve a variety of food which I bet you know already what do they have. Anyway, there are food that's pretty good. So far, the toast bread, Chicken Hor Fun, Asam Laksa, Coffee... However, it's not advisable to order Tom Yam Bee Hoon and Dried Curry. Of course, if you looking for a good Chicken Hor Fun, don't waste your time looking for it in KL or PJ. Ipoh is the one and only place!!! =P Nonetheless, the environment is pretty comfortable, whereas the service still need to be improve (ok la). Oya, there's a 10% discount for those who have student ID. =)

Overall: 6.5/10

Went to Subway in Jaya 33 last Friday in between the Moral lecture break. The bread is good, healthy and delicious. They have a variety of choices on bread, ingredients, sauces... Will challenge myself the 1 foot long bread the next time!! I'll be there real soon again! If you haven't been there before, go and have a try. However, it's a little expensive though. But worth it la... =) People like me who like quite 'heavy taste', I think this is good to have once in a while as it's not really heavy in taste.

Overall: 7.5/10

Haha... This Dunkin Donuts's. Yea... forgot the name though, but the taste is fine. Bought it when I was waiting for the bus arrival in Pudu last week. A simple sneak works in wondrous cheering up a person's mood. Goodie goodie...

Went to have dinner with my uncle, aunt, mom, sis, 2 chubby cousin sisters on the day I reached Ipoh last week at somewhere near my church at Boulevard garden. I had a share on the spaghetti and a cheese dish. One thing is the spaghetti looked attractive but not really appetite killing. The cheese dish and the sandwich were fine. The service was fine but the price ma... hmm... no idea coz it wasn't me who paid.

Next target: Japanese food- Sushi!!!

Cached

Guess what's 'cached'??

Haha... Learned something new the other day, thanks to Dr Carmen! I bet most of do not realised what's 'cached' means.

Let me show you the explanation...

According to Dictionary.com:
1.a hiding place, esp. one in the ground, for ammunition, food, treasures
2.anything so hidden
3.Alaska and Northern Canada. a small shed elevated on poles above the reach of animals and used for storing food, equipment, etc.
4.to put in a cache; conceal; hide.

According to The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition:
    1. A hiding place used especially for storing provisions.
    2. A place for concealment and safekeeping, as of valuables.
    3. A store of goods or valuables concealed in a hiding place: maintained a cache of food in case of emergencies.
  1. Computer Science A fast storage buffer in the central processing unit of a computer. Also called cache memory.

According to Google Help at http://www.google.com/help/features.html:

Google takes a snapshot of each page examined as it crawls the web and caches these as a back-up in case the original page is unavailable. If you click on the "Cached" link, you will see the web page as it looked when we indexed it. The cached content is the content Google uses to judge whether this page is a relevant match for your query.

When the cached page is displayed, it will have a header at the top which serves as a reminder that this is not necessarily the most recent version of the page. Terms that match your query are highlighted on the cached version to make it easier for you to see why your page is relevant.

The "Cached" link will be missing for sites that have not been indexed, as well as for sites whose owners have requested we not cache their content.

Alright! Get it? Hmm...

I'm getting to the point... See, there'a link to the original of the page even when the author change it or delete it unless according to what's stated above there.

So, whatever we posted in the internet, Google actually stores it. We can simply retrieve the original website by clicking the 'Cached' word that can be found at the bottom of the explanation that's after the title of the website with light blue underline and just before the word of 'Similar pages' and 'Note this' if you are using the Google Search to look for information.

If I'm mistaken, when Dr Carmen told us about this, we were shocked! Hold it! Don't say 'huh?' first, just let me finish...

The reason is she told us whatever we do in the internet, we have a record. From our very familiar website Friendster, Facebook, .... Blogs... See, there's a catch! Whoever did any posting on the website, I mean whatever we ever wrote out of frustration or sadness, we are in History! History!! Did I make it clear?

Anyone can actually retrieve whatever we have written in the internet by searching it... haha...
No matter how long you have already deleted the website or blog, you are in HISTORY!!!

Just imagine if someone actually search for what you have written and everything comes out in the Search page... haha... *mampus* Of course if you have not written anything illegal or stupid, then you can say 'Ceh!'

Well, just thought of letting you all know what's 'Cached'.

And now you know it, my job is done here.

Another Saturday & Z001: Piccadilly

To me, Saturday has always been a wonderful day for me before University. I would make full use during this day to spend time with my family, friends, and Him. It means so much to me. This is a day when I rest, eat, watch movie, shopping, exercise...

Until last year, when I finally entered Uni. It has been very different.
Last year, my Saturdays......
1. Had classes in the morning
2. Rush assignments
3. Rush to pudu to get home
4. Too tired to do anything... SLEEP =)
5. Go to church =)

This year, *haihz*
1. Have classes in the morning
2. Replacement classes in the afternoon
3. Go to church =)

Yesterday has been good. Had a mid term in the morning. Instead of the usual 8am class, it starts at 11am (haha...) Didn't really finish studying also. Read the notes during Friday's moral lecture when others are doing presentation in front (can't concentrate, kinda boring ma... blaa blaa... sorry lo!), during the break, just before cg meeting starts and half and hour before the mid term (wakaka...). Reach Uni late and I thought Datin would kill me when I entered the lecture hall (I survived). Anyway, the test was fine I think.

Later that, NO REPLACEMENT CLASS!! Excellent!! Su Teng, Debbie, Viv, Jeannie, Megan, Sarah and me went to Sec 14 to have lunch and 'gai gai'...

When we were about to reach the food court, something happened. Viv was walking beside me, she hold to my arm very suddenly and at first I thought she wanted to crack another joke with me. Then like 3 seconds later only I found out her face was PALE and GREEN! (hak sei ngo) Then we walked her to the nearest table to let her rest there. Fanning, buy choc, order warm Milo... Everyone who pass by came to ask this and that... (concern ma) Later she was fine anyway and we had lunch together.

Then went 'gai gai' lo... here and there... In the end, Sarah and me went to Jaya 33 to get some stuff. Half way, we found mash mellows! Haha... both of us kinda 'siao' that time. I think we were kinda too free as we have another 2 hours before the celebration starts.

We went straight to church after that. Settled down with our super thick newspaper and mash mellows =)I love mash mellows and it's reallllliiiii good!! Yum yum....

Kevin's pie... from DUMC cafeteria. He was eating this when I was having my mash mellow...

After the celebration, went to Piccadilly (forgot how to spell). The food there was 'ok la'! The funniest thing is that whenever the waiter or waitress brought our drinks, they don't even know the name =,=". So, we were confused every time they bring the drinks. Ask them? Ha.. I think I can guess better. They played the BSB songs and Ervinna, Carol and me were kinda tuned into it. It's like bringing back to my primary school time. The food was 'ma ma dei' lo. I mean it's alright, just that nothing really special it seems.

Something I wanna share here. Only realised that when I was about to leave that place.

This staircase reminds me of a lesson I learned sometimes ago...
The left side of the staircase is smooth all the way down.
As for the right, is the normal staircase.

If we go down from the left side, we can walk as freely as we want it to be. However, the risk is there. We might fall if we are careless.
As for the normal staircase, we must follow the sequence. Yes, we tend to be more careful with our every single steps. But the longer we have walk down with the 'fixed' staircase, we will get use to it.

You get what I mean? I don't really mean just walking down the staircase, please look more than just a staircase...

Ervinna's ice honeydew from Piccadilly... looks pretty good!

This picture is not mainly to let you know 'This is Chicken Chop!" Check out properly! It's a spoon instead of fork! Aha! Expect Sandy to eat with spoon and knife, joker la this cafe! =,="

Finally, Ervinna and my pattaya. Somehow, I think my egg is a bit not artistic though. The taste is fine.

I think overall 6.5/10 for Piccadilly only. Gambateh la!
