New Semester

First week back in PJ and I'm partially here. I left half of ireneC at a place called Home.

New semester again. I have completed half of my degree journey so far. The latter part is the toughest and need more effort to achieve my goals.

Result for last semester came out. I was neither happy nor disappointed. No expectation at all. Why? I thought I did pretty badly and was kinda worried during the exam period. It turned out alright after all. Yes, I did better compared to first year. Praise Him!

One thing to celebrate, I passed my moral paper! Wuhoo!! No more LAN subjects!! Haha... Giant with B- for moral, no bad huh? Good kid! Didn't really study for it and was enjoying the holidays with dramas and rubik's cube fun time... *aiks*

This new semester is a Constant Reading Semester! New challenge, but plans go on...
New plans:
1. Put more efforts no matter what!
2. Continue serving for Him in CF.
3. French Language -not available in PJ campus *sob*
4. Drums lessons -will settle it soon.
5. New ministry -timetable clashes, BUT might take up another one.
6. Preparation for Rubik's cube competition in December with cousins, ahaha... *sweat*
7. Food hunting new direction =)

Childhood Fun Time

What was your childhood like?

Hmm.... thinking? recalling? aha! gotcha!
The longer you start to recall (magic moment), the older you are, wahaha.... *flee...=P*

My childhood was almost complete if ...
... the 'lovely' homework and holiday homework disappear *grin*
Bicycle, beaches, climb trees, sand, boardgames, all sort of soft and rough toys...... *wuhoo*
I can even jump down from the 1st floor without using the staircase, haha... *opps*

Found these little precious army toys from somewhere in the house... Cool eh?

O! Let not forget about the exposure to real life animal like says goats... I initially wanted to take a picture of a cow, mana tau that fellow ran away... ish*

Taken all these fellows in Batu Gajah. A part of my childhood lifetime was there.

What can you spot from this picture? =)

Z009: Food Foundary, Tong Yun & Tou Fu Fa, Ice Kacang, Pork Noodles...

Hmm... Just realised I have not been posting my food post quite sometimes. Enjoy...... =)

~Spaghetti Carbonara from Food Foundary Section 17~
The sauce of the dish is thick enough with cheese, mushroom and minced chicken. Hmm, how do I exactly describe the taste? Well, let me put it this way: "Once you start, you hardly have second thought of putting the fork down."

However, I still think they can improve better on the tenderness of the spaghetti. If only the spaghetti is slightly soft enough, I'm sure the taste would be perfecto with more sauce 'sticking' on the spaghetti itself. Wuhoo...

Also, credit gives to the service efficiency and courtesy. =)

Overall: 7/10
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
~ Tong Yun with Tou Fu Fa from SS2 Night Market~
I had a bowl of 2 mixual flavour 'tong yun' of peanut and black sesame seeds. If you are a kind of person who like not so sweet tou fu fa, you'll enjoy this. Personally I think the tou fu fa should be slightly sweeter, the peanut and black sesame seeds in the tong yun are a little bit too sweet. But the dumpling itself is very soft and easy to chew. Excellent!!

Overall: 6.5/10
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Ice Kacang from Wong Kam Bercham, Ipoh~

It comes with red beans, peanuts, cendol, sweet corns, liong fun... Delicious and note the BIG bowl, no kidding! Also, very cheap!! RM2.50 for this BIG bowl!!!

Overall: 7/10

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

~Pork Noodles from Ipoh Garden East Ipoh~

To be fair, I think the one that I used to eat very often in PJ has a better soup compared to this one. BUT the one here has more stuff instead of just the minced pork and noodles. Just that the soup is not 'gao' enough, too bad! If not, it'll be perfecto!

Overall: 6.5/10

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just for fun =) Saw these superb cute bread. It's great to see there are people who are passionate in giving happiness to the bread. Actually I curi-curi took this picture, wahaha... *shhh*

Can you figure out anything weird about this pic? haha... I find it hmm... a bit unusual, haha!

Sem Break begins with Tyre Changing... again?

Semester break is here again. Whee... Yea... Wakaka... So happy!! No more PJ food, IPOH food rocks!!! YAhhhoooo!!!! That's not the whole main point la of course, I can see my family, Mikko, tv, my lovely room and ever clean ireneC's toilet, haha...

Yesterday was the first day I came back for sem break. Guess what was it like? Hmm... let me review then, .... tata... (read below) (o__0"") *lame*

Woke up early to catch bus again. The 'fisherman' called for directions to Ipoh and thanks to KJ for leaving the map I drew for him the day before in PJ. But they are pretty smart, found the place quite fast. "Like the food?" Went to Pudu slightly too early and waited there, staring at everything that's mobile and stagnant... I don't really mind doing nothing these few days, I've been so used to stare blankly since study week, haha...

Thank God for the spacious bus man. There were less than 15 people taking the same bus. I'm so happy!! I occupied the 2 seats and slept like a pig, syiok! Reached Ipoh early, somehow the bus reached in 2 hours time, *salute* that was fast!

Di picked me up from there. Then went to pi's school. Something happened on our way for lunch. There was a guy sounded the honk and pointing at our car as he was about to leave the traffic light turning. And you know what happened next right??

Ar... tyre chainging time again...

This is the 4th time I'm changing tyre since I got my car license. *grin with the look 'I-know-how'* Alright, tyre changing time... under the glaring hot sun, adoi! The cacat-ed spare tyre was in dunno-why-not-so-good-condition. Thank God di managed to drive safely to the shop...

Recalling the tyre changing experience...
1st time:
Changed a tyre for Aunty Reb's car after the baptism class with another church friend who just got license also. It was so fun, I remember!! Both of us was little 'kelam-kabut' that time coz first time changing ma... oya, there was a guy came over to help later...
2nd time:
Family trip to Langkawi. Half way I heard something unusual, then di pulled over to check. Whee... tyre changing time again, let me do the job *BIG bbbrroooaaddd happy grin*
3rd time:
My fault. Parked too near to a small staircase just beside the church shop lot corridor and *touch* the sharp corner. *pwounn* Didn't really do anything actually, a friend came over to change for me, thanks YS!!
4th time:
This one lor...

I sounded as if I have fun during the tyre changing time eh?
The truth is: I was! You wanna know why?
C'mon! It wasn't so bad when you had a flat tyre, it is a time where you can practice your skills and realise that you have not been 'sayang-ing' by touching the tyre so often. Also, at least we did not went into any accident with the flat tyre okay? Be thankful!!! Why with all the frowns? Cheer up man!! I know it will cost a lot but come to think of it, at least God gives us chance to make full use of what we have learnt. It might be usefull someday during an emergency and you will never know.

Hmm... if you are interested in learning how to change a tyre, go look for someone who knows how... I am willing to teach if you are willing to learn =) Just let me know.

3 days of Efforts

3 days of efforts!!! I can't believe this!!! Too good to be true!! Wahaahaha!!!

Bought this Rubik's cube on Tuesday after lunch and I started trying to solve this thing after my dinner. Since then, I keep on spending my time on it.

Tuesday, I managed to pull myself through the first stage and was a little bit too tired to continue. It gave me a hard tiring fun time just staring at the 54 coloured square. Then I seeked help from youtube. Too lazy to continue.

Wednesday, refering to all the formula I got from youtube, managed to overcome the 2nd stage. Heeeheheee...

Today, the finale part and also the toughest part. 4 formula altogether. Tough but really fun! After hours of on and off solving, finally got it all through!! Wuhooo... !!!!

Was really amazed by those little kids who managed to put all the colour back together in just merely less than a minute. A MINUTE!!!! *total salute* ( I did it in almost 3 days time o_0)

Now, my next mission is to explore how exactly those formula works and try to solve it in my own way instead of depending on the formula I have already printed in my brain. Need to go through Wernicke's area then Arcuate Fasciculus that send the message to Broca's area in order for me to teach my sister when I get back.

Alas, I can sleep peacefully. Yeap! It's time to focus on my last exam paper on Monday, moral...!!! Yikes! Will try my best!! Had too much fun since Tuesday, need to bring my focus back now...

Happy... happii..... happeee.... whee.... yeah....

Validity

30th April 2008. A very memorable day. 11.59pm, just a minute to 1st May 2008 will always be a memorable moment. Feeling rather sad and disappointed, how I wish I could have just done something better to make myself feeling at least slightly calmer now. It's too late. It's just too late to do anything now. I can't change what has becomes history.

Since early this year, I have been visiting places with good food. Here and there, I have been receiving cash vouchers and coupons from various restaurants, cafes, newspaper and certain wonderful people. Thanks to all who gave me those.

The food vouchers that have been with me all the while since early this year. Clockwise: Subway cash voucher RM10, Secret Recipe free Long Black or Flat White and Old Town White Coffee cash vouchers.

How lovely isn't? Yea... I felt so happy when I pocket them everywhere I go. I can actually feel the food is with me, hehe... siao eh?

Too bad. These goodies do not last forever. And all vanish at the same day, same time. *sobbing really really hard* Check the date. 30th April 2008!!! That's yesterday!!! I mean just almost 2 and 1/2 hours ago... Mua.... I want Subway!!!! *merajuk*

Another from Secret Recipe... *sobbing even harder*

Another from Old Town White Coffee, given by Elie dai ga jie... *sobbing very very hard now*

This one right... Look carefully!! "Valid only at Subway E-Gate at Gelugor, Penang" Arghh!!!!
Why can't I have it anywhere else?? Argh!!! RM10 voucher ok??!!! (Da jie, thanks for giving it to me anyway, I just can't stop myself feeling sad, muaa.... o___0 )

All 3 lovely food vouchers gone in one day! How can I not be in a sad mood now...

Okay la... joking nia!! I'm feeling crappy. It's not so bad after all, I still have some more with me, hehe....
